Yea my upper mounts are about 1/4" from the bed.. and the lowers are flat with the bottom of the axle (for clearance purposes) didn't wanna be getting hung up on the mounts below my axle

 

If I put 12s in the normal way do I have to go through my bed.

 

"Normal way" as in stock mounting location? Or angled more like this | | ?

Either way you have to measure extended and compressed lengths to see what size shock you need

Naw but, they had a good run for being used.

 

My upper mount is probably close to the same. I never measured, but part of it sticks up above the frame.

As he said, which way? to my kowledge, 12s won't fit any way except angled. 10s you'll have to angle front or back to get them to fit verticle.

 

To add on.. 10” shocks also have different collapsed/extended lengths.

I must have long shock bodies or something because I had to angle the 10s a fair amount inward

Why can't this just be simple.

 

I just want to make it work. If I should remount or get longer shocks. I wish I had the knowledge to do the work. I would pay in beer if I could get some help

 

Well Aaron just did it on a 1st gen. I did it on a 2nd gen. Stumbles is going to do it to his soon

 

Yes, a fuck ton of work. Plan all you want, something will inevitably delay the process.

 

I am hoping maybe January I will do the rear.
