AZ Campouts

My Blazer “should” be in the Four Wheel Campers booth. Waiting to hear if it is for sure, had a little mixup. Either way I will be in and out of the show all weekend.

I'll be at home hopped up on Tylenol3's so if I do go. Would definitely need a ride. Plus, wont be able to talk.

I was up on the rim over the weekend. Got rain, hail, and snow.

 

Was up in cottonwood over the weekend normally don't do campgrounds but lolomai wasn't bad.

 

For context I’m having dental surgery the 14th taking what left of top teeth out for dentures.

 

I will be at home, avoiding the crowds.

 

We’re taking the camper up to Williams and doing a day at the Grand Canyon. We’ll be driving through Flagstaff but trying not to stop for more than fuel. Did the same thing last year and it was quite the crazy fest. My social anxiety can’t handle that shit. Have fun y’all.

 

Just got official word that my Blazer will be on display in the Four Wheel Campers booth so I will definitely be there for most of the show and probably camping in it a couple nights.

 

How did you come about this connection/opportunity? I would love to connect with OK4WD (the sole distributor of Alu-Cab in the US) about getting our truck house into the Expo at their booth.

 

Ive had a relationship for with them for a few years now. My Blazer was in their booth a couple years ago when it was totally stock. I literally weaseled my way in by contacting them out of the blue, telling them the story of buying and selling and buying back the blazer, taking pictures with it at our wedding etc. and they loved it so they invited me to their booth. They did a whole video on it. Now we are friends with Mel who runs all their events and she invites us to everything. I think having a vintage camper that someone is using and has a cool story is what got us in. Its much harder when you have a modern rig because everybody has one and nothing stands out, no matter how "built" it is because you're up against in-house and factory built stuff.

One of my motos was voted to "best 5" at the show a few years back, I didn't win 1st place but still got a full ride w/e for free because of the votes.

Getting packed to roll out to expo in the AM can't remember if anyone interested in camping my plan is to leave expo around 4-4:30 ish maybe grab a quick bite to eat either at expo or in flag then head down Lake Mary road and grab a campsite somewhere around the south south east side of the road past lower lake mary.

If I grab my usual spot I'll have decent cell service shoot me a PM if you want to swing by.

 

I am headed out this evening. I have no idea what time I will actually be around tho. Wife is having surgery today then I am pouring her onto the couch packing up and headed out.

Well she was planning on coming before she tore her ACL a few weeks ago. And she understands the Mike is headed down from MT so I have to come to see the homie. All she is going to be doing all weekend is watching tv and chilling I dont need to sit around to babysit. And sounds good I will see what my plans are as I get closer. I will be rolling my 3rd gen runner. So if I roll into camp dont be scared.
