I wouldn't mess with either of those...
    (you've awakened the ruckus nerd:D)
First one the "new ECU" makes me say run for the hills. Ruckus ECUs don't just shit the bed unless someone is playing with the electric system and makes bad mistakes that let the magic smoke out.
Second one the Yosh pipe and Uni filter are the tells... first off I've installed a Yoshimura exhaust on a friend's ruck, and holy god after a roll around the block we both agreed it was time to just go back to stock. Obnoxious.
Also Ruckuses are pretty cantankerous when it comes to their intake system- a Uni filter will not only knock you down on power but you have to rejet. Believe it or not a 1 HP engine doesn't need more air than that stock airbox provides (crazy, I know.)

Chasing gremlins on them is a lot more annoying than you might think. When I get one I'm probably gonna buy new and then immediately put it under the knife to upgrade shocks and shock travel, then take it on trails out here.:headbang:

I've got a plasti-dipped TRD OR grille insert from my '16. Free.99 or it's going in the garbage after the weekend.

Thanks for the scooter suggestions. Not looking to spend ruckus money and don't want electric.

@RPain I'd like the grill but am out of town for a couple weeks.

I'll stash it for ya. I broke the trim, but the insert itself is ok. I'd recommend another coat of dip before you put it back on. Only has one broken tab out of the 18 or so on there.

I'll be sure to make one when I get around to it. :D It's not gonna be flashy though, a lot of things people do to the Ruckuses (Ruckii?:p) are for bling more than performance.
For instance I'm about 99% sure I am keeping the cable op drums and stock wheels, and spending the money on some knobbier tires instead. Engineering more travel in the rear is probably going to be the biggest challenge.

Any of these scooters worth a crap?
Prefer to stay closer to $600ish but may spend more.
Problem is I know jack about scooters and am out of town for 2 weeks and can't look at any of them. Hoping to lock one down and pick it up when I get back on the 22nd. Then I gotta hide it until the 25th :)

The Metro is a good buy, it's essentially a ruckus with a more euro-style fairing setup. The C3 is a great value too. Either one of those, as long as you don't throw it on the ground a hundred times or neglect it, I could see you recouping most of the cash on resale.

Out of that whole list those 2 are the winners. Can't hardly go wrong with either but I have to say I'm partial to the Metro, having reanimated the corpse of one many moons ago. They are exceptionally hard to kill.

I could look at either and/or collect and hide either of them for you but, you'd have to figure out a way to get me cash to wheel and deal with the people.

Thanks. Figured the Honda would be the better of them. I'm a long time honda guy hence my username here. Let me think it over and see what I can do.
