What solar company do you have again?

 

I had Solar City/ Tesla at the old house. They did right by me, but CS was not great, it often took a couple calls/emails to get a response. The product was good.

This time we went with HelioSun. Bigger system for less than the Tesla quote. The added insulation to attic, wrapped all air lines that weren't already wrapped. They did a blower test to see where I was leaking air/money (my old ass windows). Today they installed monitoring system called curb, it tracks each circuit break and gives real time consumption. Also gave me a smartThings hub and Sylvania smart+ bulbs, the thermostat, and a controller for my hot water heater (I already have one, so they wired it to the pool pumps).

This time, I own them instead of lease (20 year payment plan which we will pay off ASAP). I received a 25 year warranty on panels and inverter. February, our electric bill was almost $300 (crazy right) in march (first month with panels) APS owed me money. I was really scared what our summer bills were going to look like, but now I am not as worried about it.

 

Damn, I’m always interested in them, but don’t want to come out of pocket for it haha

 

I am zero dollars out of pocket. Just got my monthly bill starting next month.

 

For my system, it came out to $270. It should be 110% of my Annual usage.

 

Arizona limits you so you can not produce more than 1.25 of your annual usage, fun fact. So 1.1x should be perfect

 

My aps balanced payment plan is $142. House is 2600 sq ft, flat roof, pool, old windows. I have figured out the new demand use system. In the summer, I have the thermostat on 68.......except for 3-8pm.

 

Anyone have a need for some APC 2RU L630-P PDUs?

We have had panels that make 16kwh for 5 years in September - the loan payment is only $167 but it will be paid off in 3-4 months. Actual panel cost was $20k and $10k install from Sun Valley Solar.

Still have to pay SRP $20 a month just to have electricity meter, but I build up "credits" for the summer. We get 1 bill a year that hovers around $100 once the credits run out.

I actually called to see if we can add panels to my current system and a battery, but the ROI wasnt there.

 

Does anybody have some throw-away stock 3rd gen taillights they want to get rid of? Just looking for donors since I'll be cutting them up anyhow.

 

CBI bedrack for sale. Compatible with shortbed 2nd and 3rd gens. Steel is real. PO had spray painted it black, would recommend having it blasted and coated. Will need new hardware. 500$ for now
