Anyone looking for a modified tundra steering rack? I have one I got from basik biker & I think I’m going to go a different route. I believe I paid $1350 to him for this. It comes with new mounting barrels/bungs & bolts. It’s a very slick modified tundra rack that requires some modification to install. As far as I know. Only solo motor sports & basik biker sell/make this modified tundra rack. Solo version is $1500 iirc

Meh, I would possibly maybe, but probably not, consider it if it was less than 100 bucks.

 

There is some serious fabrication required for the install, I can’t imagine it would be much different for 2g vs 3g. I believe I’ve heard of 3g guys doing it also but I’m not sure. Ryan probably knows

 

Hey @Basikbiker you've fit one in a 3rd gen right? Though I’ve seen that you did it. Need to make sure before I tell @Sixthelement to buy this and make his pile of parts for me to build his front end even bigger lol

I'll wait for Ryan to chime in, doing this same time as JD LCA kit might be best? Idk. I dont have the tools and skills to fab.

 

I only found that one guy that did it. From what I read, I may have to get shorter sleeves for it.

 

Pretty sure it’s been done a time or two. I think Travis has done one 3rd gen. I know the slide rack option does not work due to the oil filter but the tundra rack should fit. Just want to confirm before telling Will to buy it off you and also get some tips for install maybe lol. Plasma cutter is a game changer and 100% needed for this install.

The list of parts we got going for @Sixthelement front end, if we weren’t keeping the motor I’d say let’s just chop the frame at the cab and start from scratch lol. Hey Will….LS swap?

I haven't fit one in personally but have had a couple guys make em fit...its a bit more work to get the clearance you want

@Basikbiker in the one post in your thread. The guy states he was sent shorter spacers for the 3rd gen. Did you provide those? If so do you know how much shorter they were?
