There are probably a thousand threads about this, look in some other parts of the forum or at least ask in an appropriate thread

Me too. Will going down to 16" wheel mess up my suspension and gearing?

Will research. Make sure wheels will clear calipers. These are nice wheels.

So, going to be selling my 1978 280Z. Going to start the bid at $2,000. Figured I'd give you ladies and gents first dibs in case anyone has interest in her.

Warning: This is a project car, with a ton of potential. KBB/ect does not apply to it, so if you bring it up, you're banned from even trying to get it. Sold as-is.

    The good:
    - Body is mostly in fantastic shape. Very little rust known (rare on these cars) (few little bits here and there around the hatch opening, and the wheel well I caused by sanding it out and was going to re-primer and sound deaden... lol. just surface though).
    - Solid SBC 327. When I replaced the oil pan on it awhile back (maybe 2hr of run time), the motor was spotless on the underside, no shavings or any wear I could see anywhere.
    - Freshly rebuilt 700R4 transmission. Does need a little adjustment.
    - Paint is actually in great shape overall, will last quite awhile until you need a refresh.
    - New poly bushing kit ready for install

    The bad:
    - Salvage title (minor tap in the rear end on previous owner, shaved the rear which was going to get done anyway... no affect to the body itself, just the 120lb throw away 70's regulated 5mph bumper)
    - Interior is ripped out. I have all the stuff in storage minus the carpet I threw away because it was trash. Went on rust hunt and never put it back together because I was going to repaint the entire car in/out.
    - Dash is cracked.. I dare you to find a S30 that doesn't have one not cracked lol
    - Wiring was kinda ghetto on swap, I was going to redo all wiring anyway.
    - Solid motor mounts (may be a plus for some, but vibrations a bit annoying though it's a well balanced motor so it's not too bad)
    - Front springs are cut for lowering (previous owner). Suspension is cheap, coilovers all day for like 1300 bucks shipped ;)
    - Some jackass backed into it at my house damaging the hood. I have a new grill and turn signal shrouds ready to install.
    - Wheels aren't the greatest, but work.
    - Carburetor is a piece of crap, I highly recommend a new one. I attempted rebuilding it a couple of times, but even Edlebrock says it's not matched for the Performer RPM intake manifold that's installed on the block.

Probably a lot more, but all in all it's a project 280Z that with very little work is a running SBC swap. If I get the time, I'll get it fired back up and ready to roll on it's own.

All in all: Solid project car, needs a lot of love but the condition of the body overall makes it a pretty rare Z, with a great drivetrain begging for the right tuner and maybe about 3-4k put into it to be a solid daily. I'm just over it, and want a BRZ that I don't have to fuck with and not have two project vehiclies lol.

Tempting on them skids.... :) Odd question, do you have to drop the skids when you're changing your oil or do the holes line up with the drain plug and gives you access with a socket or wrench?
