My friend still wants me to fix her laptop. Apparently iTunes has taken over. Every time she tries to do something, iTunes opens up. I told her to wipe it out. She said that would wipe out her music and pics too. Is that true?

I actually don't use any software to monitor my camera's. What I do is in each camera I have it send to my FTP server that is stored on a Mac Mini inside my house and is mounted up high and can't be accessed without a ladder.

Then my FTP folder on the Mac Mini uses Amazon S3 servers and uploads all the images to the S3 server incase the Mini gets stolen.

While the upload to the S3 is happening the Mac Mini also writes a copy of the files to my NAS which is stored inside my gun safe.

No you can strip out the media. It is under itunes music. Location depends on PC or Mac but a quick google search will tell you where to find the files.

That's what I figured, but she swore it wasn't that easy lol. I'm not really in the Apple ecosystem like she is, so I couldn't argue with her.

Just go into the preferences of iTunes and figure out where they are stored. I know if she bought all of her music from iTunes then maybe there is a backup/sync you have to go through. If she just loaded her collection she can rip it out of there.

I think a lot of it is just stuff synced between iTunes and her iPhone.

This is an old test, today's download is 1.1
This is why I am leaving CenturyLink. Too long with this BS, should have gone to Cox sooner.
    Only 2 more weeks.

This is what I'm getting from Cox. This is without the DOCSYS 3.0 modem, and Netflix running.

    I'll take that any day.
We have them at work and normally get 50 down and 20 up. This week our router was having issues and "slowed" it down to 7 down and 7 up. Still feels lightning fast compared to the crap I'm dealing with.

    On another/related note:
Does anyone have a recommendation for a router/modem combo they would suggest?
We've got a 6 bedroom house with one of the rooms in a separate building about 15 yards behind the main house. trying to get something that offers coverage to the whole house.

Right now I have a Netgear: WNDR3400v3 and it barely gets coverage to both ends of the house but can't sustain a connection to the blu ray or chrome cast (I believe it's just a b/g/n router, not AC). I would like to get something that just bathes the entire property in coverage for $200 or less (preferably). Any suggestions?

That one's a 100/20 business class, the one I have at home is 100/20 residential, it usually only pulls about 120 down. Just thought I'd join in on the trend :p

Semi new around here, but the topics listed on the top page are right up my alley. Offroading wise, I usually run with The Phoenix East Valley 4X4 Meet Up Group and have been for the last year or so

    http://www.meetup.com/PEV4X4/

pretty chill group of people, they are very helpful, knowledgeable and have very much the no-man-left-behind mentality when we're on the trail. They are jeep guys at heart, but there are good handful of us Toyota folks in there and they dont discriminate (aside from a little healthy teasing back and fourth)

Otherwise, I have built my own gaming rigs for years, have a pretty nice one currently, and am very much the techie-geeky type.
