    I was going to build a case completely out of legos but now i think I'm going to use this case with a lego shell over it.

    Going to be a mini gaming build, I'm buying most of the parts off a friend of mine brand new for almost nothing because hes hooking me up.

    Going to make it a star wars theme. I'm going to order a bunch of black legos to have enough to make it work!

    So kind of a dumb question. My laptop crapped out last night. It's battery charge light is blinking and it will not boot. I'm thinking its a battery as the charger has the correct voltage at the tip.

    Looking at the replacement batteries, the battery says it's a 10.8v battery( already replaced once). The computer itself says it's a 18.5v input. Aren't these two voltages suppose to match? Is this why my other battery is potentially TU? The charger( also a replacement) is set to 19v

    The laptop should boot without a battery installed or at least give you an error that it's not installed. Have you tried clearing cmos by chance? Try running without battery as well. Typically when they die they don't stop a laptop from booting.

    I tried with the battery removed and nothing happened. The charge lights blinks for a moment but nothing more

    With the battery installed. It tries to load Windows but dies

    Also, did you try a static discharge?

    Pull battery and power cable
    Hold power button for 60 seconds.

    Is the charger you have aftermarket or just the battery. I'm with Jon as it sounds like the charger isn't putting out the juice and the battery is needed to help get that juice, which isn't normal. I've yet to see any laptop (PC wise) that didn't run off the charger only.

    I had a battery that quit charging on my laptop. Once you unplugged the power, it would die.

    That's normal. If a battery doesn't hold power not much it can do after that.
