May be a union but it doesn't count yet as being married. Your "engaged" if you Will. If it wasn't such a big deal gays wouldn't be in such a tizzy about not being able to file before....

I'm not sure if we plan to file. I don't really see any point right now. She's in school and gets tax credit and help because she's "single" parent.

If you don't plan to file then how can you claim to be married? More like you guys made a commitment to each other. Saying your married because you have a ring is like me saying I'm black because I like fried chicken, or I'm Japanese because I have a Toyota....

In a few years (or maybe already) they will be common law married. I think people put to much importance on the state saying you are or are not married. For all we know they said some sort of vow before God when he gave her that ring and in the Lord's eyes they are married. I think their relationship is personal between them and if he wants to say he is married, than who are we to judge.

One definition of marriage is: a combination or mixture of two or more elements. I would say they are combined or mixed together.

We're you hearing some old drunk "Hey Skippy" multiple times the entire day? I've had that multiple times in different areas weeks apart. That's a "tuned CB just blasting anything close to an 11m freq

I'm going to be needing a new laptop soon for Skool. Need a machine to run the basics for engineering, cad etc. I'm wanting a 15" as I think a 17 is too big for portability reasons.

Suggestions? Maybe even a super deal for black frimonday

I love my asus laptop, it's an older model but they're a good brand to consider. How powerful do you want it to be?

We run workstation laptops in Aerospace and only women bitch about the carry weight :)

You can always get a bag with wheels for both the laptop and your vagina.

    :)

For anything that is going to be doing CAD work you'll want some power behind it. I'd suggest something like this. You might want to swap the SATA drive to SSD. You'll want as much ram and video ram that you can fit into the laptop.

The SSD is a good call as well as RAM and a lot of it along with a good nvidia card. I have a lot of issues with ATI cards with Creo.

That's why I suggested an Nvidia laptop. ATI has always giving me issues in the past. ATI are great to OC but that's worthless for a CAD machine. It's all about RAM with CAD.

I just upgraded my home machine to 16gb of DDR4 with a new SSD. Boot up time is 7 seconds now :)

Also CAD doesn't take advantage of hyperthreading so disable that in the BIOS. Dual procs dot work for shit either. Single processing with multiple cores.

A lot of tweaking needed with GPUs, I find that the certified drivers don't always play nice with the different softwares.

I didn't even click the link, I'm just giving my advice since I've been supporting mechanical and electrical engineering for 2 years

I've heard this from a few people now. I thought at first it was maybe an isolated incident Good to know.

The 17s just seem huge to me. I carry enough shit with me the way it is. I'd go with a 13 if it was feasible. I have a desktop when in need it that rocks. But for space concerns, not weight, I'm thinking a 15 is sufficient.

What is the proper way to delete an old OS and install a new one? My mom is looking to update to 8.1 from vista.
