I bought an Xbox one S yesterday. I wanted the 4k content because more movies are utilizing Dolby Atmos. Fucked around with all the audio settings on that fucking thing for a couple of hours to figure out after some research the stupid thing doesn't passthrough atmos at all. I'm seriously thinking about returning it. Microsoft....

Oh and the first one I got was doa out of the box...

There's only 2 tvs that are similar to plasma. Oled and sony new tv, the z9d.

So it's a 3d tv? That's awesome. I'd highly recommend sticking with a native 120hz. Come into my work friday-sunday and I'll show ya some differences.

The one in gilbert off williams and the 202.

Do you have an atmos set up?

It's not 3d. It's a base ass model. I know the difference between the refresh rates but wouldn't mind coming in and looking around and gettin more info!

Klipsch R-28f fronts, R-28f center, R-12sw sub and 6 klipsch in ceiling 2 way 6.5s. That's why I want the atmos to work.

I was thinking about going with a Yamaha reciever and some Martin Logan Motion 40s with a Bowers and Wilkins Dynamo 700 for my house... But the Sony sound bar sounds good enough that I don't see the need for spending that much more money.

Thanks! Working for best buy definitely has its perks for sure. I will miss that when I'm done with school.

Martin Logan speakers are amazing but soooooo expensive.

Nice. that would definitely help. lol

Couple years ago when we bought our first house, I built my first home theater too. That picture above a few posts. did that before we even started moving in lol. I went with a Onkyo TX-NR626 Receiver, Polk Tsi400 Towers, Cs10 Center, Tsi100 Rears, and a PSW10 for the Sub. been rockin pretty damn. no complaints so might be runnin this setup for a while until I can kill it. lol

Home theaters are just like car stereo systems.

99% of the people can't tell the difference between speaker A and speaker B.

On a side not the Velodyne sub in my bedroom finally broke. Passive radiator went out and I had to order a new one. $40 for it!
