Phoenix is small and fun, but nothing near San Deigo's. Which, good luck getting tickets for that.

OK, a while ago I upgraded my Cox to 300 Mbps and needed a 30 channel modem. At recommendations from the tech, I bought the Netgear Nighthawk C7000 Modem and router all-in-one. The Amazon reviews were good. Several of you had asked my to fallow up when I had an opinion on it. Well I do, It sucks! For a hardwired device I am getting the speeds I should, however, wifi is worse than my old setup. When ever I wake up my laptop, I either have to wait a few minutes for it to reestablish a handshake or turn off my laptop's wifi and then turn it back on (Insert IT Crowd joke).

After doing some research, this seems to be a known issue with some of netgear's equipment and they are known for saying "we are working on it". I got the same reply from Netgear, after we verified I am on the proper firmware (which only my ISP can upgrade as it is a modem).

So, my recommendation, unless you are buying a dumb switch, avoid netgear. Now, I need to find a new router. I can keep using this modem, if I can't get enough for it on eBay.

Never buy a modem/wifi combo. The wifi will always disappoint.

I currently have three Acer routers in my house and I've had zero issues with any of them. I highly recommend Asus Routers they keep up on firmware and security updates. Plus every single one of them can be reflashed with tomato or DD-WRT.

    Asus has pretty solid routers.

Damn you Amazon and your same-day delivery. I now have an RT-ac88u to setup.

The thing is huge, almost the same size as my laptop.

    My guess is two reasons.

    1. Since Carrie Fisher is dead it might be a way to tribute her since nobody will ever be as hot as Princes Leia.

    Or

    2. So you can CGI photos of the real Leia to her face. Or whatever you want. Her head is a green screen basically.

My guess was she was dressed up as the actress that played Leia in rogue one. They put Carrie Fishers face on her
