As someone who worked for verizon and had the nexus as my manager phone I can tell you it may have had the same specs but my iphone 4 worked way better than it did.

Edit: and Im not saying iphones are the best I know there are better phones spec wise I'm saying that for what I use it for it works for me the best

As someone who develops for Apple and Android I can tell you that I've had more headaches, problems, and issues with support when it comes to Apple vs Android. Try developing a program for apple, then do it on Android. Apple's locked down API's can go suck a dick.

Also the majority of people who compare Apples to Androids when I talk to them this is how the conversation goes:

FB: (Fanboy) My Android phone sucked. My iPhone is great.
Me: Oh? What Android did you have?
FB: The LG Optimus Logic (cheap ass phone)
Me: So you are comparing a $99 phone to a $600 phone? That's like comparing a Geo Metro to a Ferarri.
FB: Well that doesn't matter it just works better.

This is why I don't have conversations with "Apple Guru's". They can't pull their head out of their iCould ass.

Ill probably get the Note 4. I love Samsungs UI and their build. HTC is a close second though. Just not a fan of the curved back of the One m8.. I do like the front facing speakers (although I would never use them as Bluetooth speakers are prominient now)

I'm with you on Samsung. But there are a few other phones coming down the pipe for X-mas that look amazing.

The HTC One's back does suck. It's not as bad as I thought but it can rock at times. With a case it will be problem solved. And with the Harmon Kardon EQ headphones sound amazing. I took my cans in and listened to all the phones with the same song after I set the EQ's. HTC One M8 hands down sounded better. Not sure if it will be enough to make me buy the phone when the new stuff comes out. I've been looking at some phones that are not going to be released in the US that I might buy.

Well I can definitely understand why you like them then when I worked for Verizon I had the S3, S4, Note 2, HTC Droid DNA, and the Motorola RZR MAXX. Each and every one had its own little issues I noticed. I'm not saying androids suck at all they definitely have their benefits. But for some reason I keep ending up back at the iphone. Maybe I'm not technologically smart enough to stick with droid. Either way I dont consider myself an Apple Guru I just use my phone for a few apps music texting and making phone calls thats it and for me it works.

You don't have an Apple sticker on your car, you can't be a Guru for them until you get that sticker :) haha.

I told my parents to get iPhones because they have a very hard time understanding technology. And even then, when they played with the iPhone both of my parents said "I'm not paying this much for a phone that looks and acts like a kids toy".

The apple guy's face was priceless when my mom just dropped the phone on the table and walked out.

It's all about what you like. But Apple people have a hard time understanding that your phone is locked down, everything costs a lot to buy for it, and if you want to make it personal to your liking you can't.

I've heard that Apple stores will send people to the cell provider for activation. Wonder why they do that?

I wanted an iPhone, but didn't want to switch from Sprint to Att back when iphone was only on att. When i had so many issues with my Motorola Renegade mil spec flip phone and Sprint gave me $350 credit to get a new phone, so I got into Android. It was slow. Over the years phones have gotten faster and internal space has increased.

Because they get no revenue for it. They are a 3rd party vendor at that point. My best guess.

If you just upgrading your iPhone , its just a phone call away or can go online an do it.
If you dont have a contract its another story.

They have no ability to change the esn for plans that arent upgrading or purchasing new service. Which is just stupid.

Why would you need to change esn number? I thought that's what makes the phone unique to any other phone.

ESN on any other phone is under the battery. Since iPhones don't list that, I guess you have to call. I don't see an ESN number on my iPhone 5.

You mean change the esn on the account and not on the phone? If that's what mean, that makes sense. I guess the Apple store would need to have a unique interface on the computer in order to talk to the cell company since they would need to activate a phone on multiple companies where as if they send them to the cell company store, that store wouldn't have to call.
I hope what I just said makes sense.

I used to have to sit in that line for work. Granted I got paid and head phones for doing it but it still sucked. People were pissed when I would buy 8 on launch day because I was a business customer
