What is ping?

 

That download is shit

A ping is when you send a packet of data and its measurement of how long it takes to send and receive that packet.

 

You're telling me. It hurts how slow my internet is going right now. Haha. I retested and got .3 the second time. Still slow I'm assuming.

Interesting. Good to know. I saw it was measured in milliseconds so I know it was recording time.

 

Cox in Chandler has hubs 1 through 9 out due to a cut mainline. No eta on when it will be fixed.

We have an outage in our area. I'm getting a whopping. .35kbps up

Normally I get 100mb or more all day and night.

 

T-Mob sux in my area and I have a from Cel-Fi unit in my house, so my 5 bars of 4g is cranking out my speeds tonight, also tethering the iPad and laptop off my i5 ,this is my work around for until the silliness is over . . .

 

Cox issue resolved (For the most part)

 

All Cox customers in the state of Arizona leaving the Cox backbone were affected. There was a degradation in the backbone handoff in Phoenix from Cox to Level3 Communications. Cox should really diversify their backbone to other carriers such as Sprint, AT&T etc etc. Glad they fixed it though.

 

Yeah it was a major outage that's for sure. It's still present but they've patched it enough to keep it stable. My speeds aren't where they should be but I can stream netflix and download an attachment.

 

SRP has a nice fiber network in the valley. I know Sprint uses it on some of their cell sites.

 

Sprints network is garbage though. My cell service is crap, 3g is crap, 4g doesn't even exist half the time.

 

Now, are you talking about WiMax, or LTE?

 

All of it. WiMax is crap, LTE isn't available at my house. It is on the 4th floor at my office, but not on floors 3 and below.

Cell service is absolute shit. Just sucks.

If I wasn't paying less than $100 for 2 phones with unlimited everything I'd leave.

 

I think you should call up the tech support to complain and handle business ! ! !
