So, Samsung has listened to the customers. Micro SD cards are laggy and that the customers don't use them. Therefore, the S6 will not support one. Upside, they are coming out with a 32, 64, and 128gb internal memory variants.
Me no likey they are not supporting micro SD cards.

Shit my SD card isn't laggy. It's called don't be a cheap dildo and buy a class 5 card for a 600$ phone. Class10 or throw it away.

Pretty much. Ive never had any lag using a fast SD card. I was just reading today, that SanDisk is developing, or has, a faster memory for phones. Supposedly around 20-50% faster than the memory out now.

I just read about the 200gb card. It's about $400. I have a class 10 SanDisk 64gb for my phone. Samsung just wants to deepen their pockets for more internal memory on your phone.

That, and given that they are using a smaller battery, if they can cut something loose (SD Slot/Reader/Driver) its one less thing sucking off it.

This. Plus it makes the phone cheaper to manufacture.

I was waiting for the S6, but after reading that they got rid of MicroSD and it is no longer water resistant.... F that.

So do I just go get an S5 variant?

Interesting. At a full 20Mbps it should take around 22.22 hours for 200GB. 4 days is pretty long.

Depends if they are removing all SD card slots off the phone. I can't see why they'd do that as its one of the bigger selling points to their phones.

The S5 is a solid phone. I think when it feel sold root it and put a custom ROM on it and it will be great again. I still love my note 2 after a new ROM.

You would think. However they are using S3 servers so its not taking the files at my full speeds due to S3 being slow. It seems it's pushing up about 1mb stream right now.

They are following the iPhone and internal memory only to increase their price maybe. Even if it is laggy, i'd rather deal with it with momentary lag vs the price tag premium.

Sure seems like it. All the URL's for the upstream point to AWS servers url's right now. Unless they are using an ELB with them or not using the AWS as storage but something else like a ELB. Not sure just something I noticed.

Interesting. I would think that google would have put them all in their own cloud by now. Then again AWS has been around a whiles now.
