What all are you guys packing/bringing with you as far as parts/tools? Anything special thats often overlooked? This is the farthest from home i will have ever been while wheeling. Just curious.

I am not the right person to ask this as I usually just go. I have some tools, a spare, hi-lift, and some recovery stuff. Food, drinks, and clothes. Things I should get would be a spare front axle, some sort of tire patch kit. And I still haven't bought a cool head lamp so that it would make setting up the RTT at night easier. @RPS1030 had one at KOH and that was when I realized I should get one.

What components are you worried about? Concerned about? Heard about?

What would it take to get off the trail? What would it take to drive home?

What tools are needed to change out those parts? How much room and weight capacity do you have?

At what point is carrying everything going to make it so difficult to climb an obstacle that you break versus not carrying a spare truck?

Yes there are off-road shops and parts stores in town. But import availability is apparently somewhat limited. And store hours start to get slim in Saturday and sometimes non existent on Sunday.

Tires and Bearings and Steering make a big difference on getting home.

All make sense. I guess mainly cvs, u joints, TRE's are the big ones.

Are the lower ball joints a concern on 1st gens or was that the T4R?

How's the risk to the rear Driveshaft? I usually think of Driveshaft U-Joints as a maintenance concern more than a breakage concern on Yotas.

Both. I'm making a prototype LCA right now that eliminates this problem and AZ guys will be the first to prototype for me. Either way though, they shouldn't break on a trail. Just check to see if they're tight before leaving.

    I will have fresh

Yeah, I can agree with you there... my DS is getting rebuilt with fresh joints next Monday.

I always carry oils and distilled water... I guess im set mostly except a good once over of the truck this weekend to catch anything.

I was more curious if anyone was bringing anything beyond the norm since its far and they had been there before.

Once the tube gets into the rocks, the whole thing can get trashed quickly and or be a horrible vibe on the highway home.

Front end parts for me. A jack stand would be nice, but I dunno if it'll fit.

I'm not planning to go to crazy.

    7 Mile Rim
    Shaffer Switchbacks
    wandering in general
could possibly get talked into Hells Revenge

Largely depends on getting there Thursday night or Friday night.

Not sure if my truck is coming up now. I think I need new coilovers to make things work properly
