Gotcha you're over by DM then? That's not too far of a drive from me, only 30 min or so. If you're ever up to go hunt or fish let me know, I've got a deer hunting honey hole about 20 min from my place that I'm always out walking around at. I shed hunt a lot if you're interested in that and I really wanna get better at fishing if you know of any good spots!

I'm about 10 min east of DM. Are you hunting whitetail or muley? I've never been shed hunting. That sounds like a good time.

I think rose canyon is closing up for the season pretty soon here. Did you ever manage to make it back up there a couple weeks ago?

Mainly mule deer but there are some whitetail mixed in here and there. I did make it up there but someone (me) decided to forget the tackle box at home. so I bought what I could at the little store, then we had a reel take a dump on us and my wife was complaining so we called it a day. I believe rose canyon closes in October, the only other decent places I've been that are even close are Patagonia and canyon lake

That sucks about the fishing trip. Parker canyon lake is a good one too. It's only $10/night. Where's canyon lake?

I managed to bag 16 dove throughout the 3 day weekend. I kept getting called into work on Saturday and overslept yesterday so I completely missed the morning flight. Hopefully next weekend will work out better.

Parker canyon is just a little further than Patagonia. Instead of turning left in sonoita to go to Patagonia, you go straight and sonoita highway runs right into the lake.

Do any of you guys have any experience with a ruger precision rifle? I've been thinking about getting a 6.5 creedmoor.

Pretty good weekend for me. Got 3 days of limits and with some Whitewings and Euros.

Anyone looking to do some morning spots near Phoenix before season ends? Looking to try a local spot before season ends.

I have one. Low recoil and good accuracy out to about 700.
It's becoming a very popular coues deer round.

I don't have the Ruger but I do have a Wilson Combat 6.5 Creedmoor and absolutely love that round. I took a muley with it last year at around 300 yds and dropped him almost instantly. It's a great round.

Anybody ever take a noobie out? I want to get out and go sometime soonish but my roommate who I want to go with doesn't seem particularly motivated to go. So I've got a permit that's wasting away.
