The regs do show that for the daylong hunt it is limited weapon shotgun shooting shot. Guess they want those dogs close at night!

I should paraphrase "shotguns only". You can only use shotguns "shooting shot" while hunting coyotes at night using artificial light. You can use rifles while hunting Mt. lions at night. Sorry!!!!
On another note, AZGF charged my credit card for Elk so the draw results should be coming out soon.

I will be really pissed off when I find out she gets drawn for an early tag in a good unit. I'll tell her she is on her own at that point haha. I'll make her dress it and pack it out herself. hahahah

Well she got her bank account hit, so we are waiting to see what unit she got drawn for.

I've put in for 6 straight years, had a deployment all last year, put in this year, and still haven't gotten shit.

Looks like I'll be going to Montana with my cousins and using one of their tags haha.

That's probably the same hunt I'll get. It was my last choice and with 850 tags it'll be the one. The trouble with that hunt is that it's usually hot.

shitty man. glad you made it home safe tho, and thank you! :oldglory:

we actually put 3 apps in.. and the last person that put in lives up on the border of Az and Utah.. so he just drove across the border and mailed it from there. Game & Fish looove out of state hunters :) so we are hoping that put us on the fast track. lol

That's genius, if you can afford to pay out of state tag fees.

Last time I hunted in Montana, their out of state tag price was similar to resident elk tags here in Arizona.

And thank you for that, I appreciate it.

I just wanna go hunting! lol

that was our thinking as well. 850.. with good draw percentages.. yeah we will try it. first time for unit 10 tho. so we will see how its goes.

I prefer the early hunt.. I've done both.. and forget dealin with the snow. just too much of a pain.

towards Prescott. I grew up in a small town at the Hwy 69/I-17 junction called Mayer. lots of good hunting up there. Antelope, Coyote, Bobcat, Javelina, etc.

drive a mile behind my house and can go shooting. love it up there. was sighting in my new AR and was hoping for some Jacks or even cotton tails. they are EVERYWHERE up there. but no go. was too hot i think.

If you get drawn, what part of Unit #10 do you plan to hunt. I hunt north and west of Williams. The main thing with any part of that unit are tanks....if they're full or dry. Another thing is that the animals are smart and drink after dark and are gone before sunup. You can see that when you put out cameras. That's why the permit count has gone up in the last few years. Low kill rate. The last time I hunted 10 (two years ago) the permit count for the early cow hunt was around 550 permits. Good luck!!
