AZ hunting

Where in 24A are you going? I hear there have been two taken out of 24A but will have to call later this week to see if it's closed.

 

Near timber camp. We're archery deer hunting.
Also scouting for elk , buddy has a tag for October.
Bear in 24a will close Wednesday, you are right the quota has been met.

 

Anybody going dove hunting this weekend? I'm looking forward to the 3 day weekend and sitting on a cattle tank with my shotgun.

Hunting license with the migratory bird stamp to shoot doves. I think it’s an extra $5.

Just have my sporting clays 12 but might be down for Saturday or Sunday if I can the bird stamp today

Wife's birthday is this weekend and we are doing a little staycation. Hoping to get out Sunday or Monday. If not next weekend for sure.

Good luck on the deer. While glassing for bears, I came across a couple does and what I think is a spike. I couldn't make out clearly enough to say, the 15s are good but I was looking 4 ridges away...

 

I'm in Tucson so I'll be checking out some cattle tanks down in the carona de tucson area

So what is everyone taking to the field for dove? I just picked up a berreta a300 in 12g. Also will have my Winchester 101 in 12g and Winchester Model 12 in 16g as backups.

 

I'll be using my benelli and my franchi as a backup in case I get over run... That A300 is going to be amazing, my buddy has one and it shoots good..

 

Cool. You pick up any after market chokes for it? I took mine out last weekend to bust some clays. Been awhile since i shot a semiauto. Looking forward to that extra shot with no pumping

 

I used to use nothing but briley chokes but over the last year I switched to a pattern master and I’m sorry I waited so long to try it. More pellets on target and my shot string isn’t as long.

 

I'll be using my 12 gauge Mossberg 930. It's a shooter. I did well with it for quail and rabbits last winter so I'm excited to try it out with dove.

 

Choke tube fairy paid me a visit today.
