Sorry to hear that. Going to get to the point where you need game cameras to watch the cameras.

Seems odd to only take the SIM card instead of the entire camera for an illegal. My guess is guide since it’s way more valuable to them, and most illegals now are tryin to actively turn themselves in first chance they get to claim asylum.

I’ve had game cameras disappear before, even on private property. Either way, still provides you intelligence that you aren’t the only one in the area and to plan accordingly.

    Yea, it sucks man.

Actually the fact that they didn't take the cams makes me lean toward illegals, or more accurately drug runners. They wouldn't want to carry the extra weight/bulk, just remove the evidence that they were there. I mean we know SOMEONE was there but not who. Plus there's trash from illegals in that ravine so it seems that they pass through there sometimes, maybe when other routes get too hot.

Hunting guide also makes sense. Maybe didn't have a card reader with him so he took the cards to get info and to keep is from seeing what was walking through there. Also could have been another hunter, but why wouldn't they just take the whole cam?

You've had cams disappear from your own property? That's seriously fucked up man. I'm sorry to hear that.

Private property in unit 10. Came to check and found tire marks where someone drove through the forest off road. Trespassed through several properties to get to ours. Couldn’t go farther due to the layout of the land. I think they intentionally looked around for the cams because some we well hidden and used to catch trespassers. Lost 4 that day.

Well hidden camera to watch the camera. Then you’ll know.

That's really infuriating that people do shit like that.

I've got a hidden cam watching the obvious cam and a 3rd cam watching the hidden one. If they find all 3 then I guess they win. But even if I get em on cam, it's a loose loose situation. I'll probably never run into them to confront them about it and if I do... well shit can get dicey quick in the middle of nowhere in a confrontation where everybody is armed. And I believe the law would say that if you left personal property on public land then it became public property, just like putting your trash on the curb... public area/public property. It just sucks, but what are you gonna do?

I think I'd feel better if I at least knew what happened. For me it's really not about the $7.00 SD card. It's about not getting to see the pics I got. That's the part that drives me to get outside every weekend and check my cams and look for new spots to put them and getting robbed of that payoff is just plain shitty.

    Thank you!

I wish it wasn't so hard to get drawn. I feel like I could take a turkey in either 34a or 35b just from running cams there but getting drawn is not easy!

The next 3 pics are a sow and her boyfriend walking through in a video. Unfortunately the video cut right before he really walked into frame. You can see his eyes in the background in the first pic.Screenshot_20190623-063445.jpg Screenshot_20190623-063315.jpg Screenshot_20190623-063453.jpg Screenshot_20190623-063533.jpg Screenshot_20190623-063714.jpg Screenshot_20190623-063757.jpg Screenshot_20190623-064008.jpg Screenshot_20190623-064130.jpg Screenshot_20190623-064653.jpg Screenshot_20190623-064936.jpg Screenshot_20190623-065246.jpg Screenshot_20190623-065135.jpg Screenshot_20190623-065509.jpg

It's a coatimundi. In the U.S. I think they only line in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. They're distantly related to racoons.

It's a coatimundi. They are really cool critters. They can be hunted in AZ but only 1 per year can be taken IIRC. They're usually found in groups.

Now that the snow melt has stopped and the creeks aren't flowing all the bears and animals in general have to go to these little water holes, especially the bears though cuz they're so hot with all that fur. They drink and soak in it, then take off for the next food source or water hole. My hunting buddy let me in on these spots so I'm lucky to be able to get this footage.

Yea, they're cool little guys. I dig em. The solo ones are the males and they're called coatimundi (the 'mundi' means single), and they're only allowed into the family groups, which are all females and young, duringgk the mating season. Those family groups can be 20-30 animals from what I hear, although I'm sure there are smaller and also much larger groups out there. The females and young are called just coati. I haven't managed to tag one yet but I'm curious what they taste like. They have a similar diet to coons and are related so I'm gonna try a racoon recipe whenever I get one.

There's a guy I follow on IG and his cameras are getting lots of bears visiting water. The bears like messing with the cameras, too.

Do you know his name? Just curious if I might know him. Jason or Corey?

My buddy Corey has had like 4 cameras eaten this year so far. Haha
