If anyone is looking for a pair of Swaro SLCs 10s, swaro is doing a short sale on them for the next 30 or so days. I’ll be getting some in at the next show in a few weeks. If you’re looking for swaro scopes and spotters let me know and I’ll get you the best deal around. Just PM me with the model you want.

Hopefully everyone is cleaning the shotguns, stacking the shells, and getting ready for what should be a great dive season. Saw the Game and Fish report about lots of nesting for doves.

Was just out camping but i saw about 6 deer and heard several elk out on Aztec peak over the weekend.

One tiny white tail was hanging out in some bushes by my camp and it spooked me because through all the thick foliage i thought it was a coyote eyeing my dog!

Headed out to scout unit 10 this weekend for my nephews junior deer hunt. Anyone been out to 10 recently? Hoping to find the deer without messing up any of the elk hunts going on.

We hunt unit 10 a lot. We usually are more towards Seligman and hunt on the ranch much of the time, at least for elk. I am not that familar with the Williams side of the unit.
Which part were you planning on scouting?

My brother scouted the Bo ranch last weekend as well as areas north of Ashfork. He picked up only a couple of bucks. I am headed up Friday to go scout Williams. Going work west towards ashfork. I've got conflicting suggestions on checking out the northern parts of the unit.

Yes, not sure how much deer are in the northern parts. I did not see much deer activity on the ranch north of shafer tank. Plenty of elk but not deer.
Once I get home I will take a look at my maps. Saw a couple of does and bucks south of the ranch but cannot remember exactly. This was last year but they have been pretty consistent the last couple of years I have been up there.

Thanks man! Appreciate any suggestions. I plan on spending a lot of time behind glass and figuring out the roads in that unit.

I have a 40 acre parcel in the Westwood ranch area. It’s been awhile since I’ve been out there, but I can point to some areas I saw lots of deer sign several years ago. As other have said though, seen more elk then deer there. PM me if interested.

    Just getting started...
Was up scouting in the Superstitions off the Tule trail two weeks back. Nothing. Zero. No scat, no tracks, no sign at all. Hopefully before archery OTC opens some animals will move back into the areas the fire hit.

Anyone doing elk next week? What unit if so.

Anyone want to come to my beginner's elk hunting camp? It's in 7w, bring a pack and help me carry some meat hahah.
