    chris, what are your thoughts about sea foam.... i really want to try it and my truck has alot of HARD miles on it.. but im scared lol

    If the engine is propperly maintained, oil changed diligently, etc., I dont think its nessesary. I have seen these engines with 200k+ miles on them, and very little in the way of carbon build up, or varnishing from fuel deposits. In fact, most I have seen (if/when propperly maintained), have shown suprisingly little wear on the valve train, and very little carbon build up on the piston heads.

    well i know in the beginning when i owned it there was a couple times when i didnt change the oil for a while.... like 8k miles and it was just normal oil not synthetic, and i have put 40k miles on it since i have had it, about 5k of that was in the desert, at red line rpms most of the time. im not sure of the maintance for the first 130k miles.. would it be smart to do it? can it hurt my engine?

    i may actually be in town this weekend so i might be able to show up.

    Reving the engine is good for it. As long as there isnt a miss, and its running smooth, dont seafoam it.

    I'm down to swing by...just hit 70xxx without any major maintenance (other than oil changes basically). Suggestions? I might also try and squeeze in the diff breather mod I've been wanting to do for months :spy:

    OEM Denso plugs are the best (IMHO). You should be able to get them at the dealer for a few bucks each.

    and changing the plugs is really easy. make sure engine is off, pull the plugs off the spark plug. use a spark plug socket and unscrew the plugs put new ones in and put the plugs on:) nothing special or major needs to be done.
