The Holiday shopping season is rapidly approaching! Being as we are slowly trying to dig our selves out of a resesion, and money can be tight for some, this year you might want to consider saving a few bucks, by re considering the city in which you are going to buy something in. Sales tax was supposed to be lowered years ago, but as expected, it hasnt changed. In many cases its gone even higher. Depending on the purchase, you can save enough to cover lunch, or even a car payment! Here is a list of the current city sales tax in each city. Chandler and Gilbert are the lowest, while Guadalupe is the Maricopa tax leader. Just an FYI, and I hope this is usefull to some folks to save a few bucks! :)
Add 7.3% to the listed percentage

    Apache Junction: 2.2%
    Avondale: 2.5%
    Buckeye: 3.0%
    Carefree: 3.0%
    Cave Creek: 3.0%
    Chandler: 1.5%
    El Mirage: 3.0%
    Fountain Hills: 2.6%
    Gila Bend: 3.0%
    Gilbert: 1.5%
    Glendale: 2.9%
    Goodyear: 2.5%
    Guadalupe: 4.0%
    Litchfield Park: 2.8%
    Maricopa: 2.0%
    Mesa: 1.75%
    Paradise Valley: 2.5%
    Peoria: 1.8%
    Phoenix: 2.0%
    Queen Creek: 2.25%
    Scottsdale: 1.65%
    Surprise: 2.2%
    Tempe: 2.0%
    Tolleson: 2.5%
    Wickenburg: 2.2%
    Youngtown: 3.0%

    Tucson:
Sales Tax - 9.1% (State tax is 7.1%, plus 2% within Tucson city limits)
    Marana Sales Tax 9.6%

    Flagstaff:
    9.446%

    Payson:

Guad has the most to improve upon. Gilbert is full of HOA's and is booming with business. That's the difference between everyone pitching in and everyone expecting a hand out. Good thing SDHQ is in Gilbert :D

No point in even listing Maricopa... there's no where to buy anything anyway...
