Defiance action is definite but still deciding on the others right now.
Thinking McMillian A5 stock, Timney trigger, and glass probably Vortex. The glass is the big variable as I really like Nightforce but think Vortex and US Optics make better FFP scopes. It all depends on the funding or how much I really want to spend. I already have a ton a money in glass sitting in the safe so not sure if I want to invest more.

Id look at athlon glass also, having options is great. Its really tough to beat the Vortex warranty though.

    That'll be a nice rifle!

Have an Athlon on my new CZ 22lr, love it for the price! That would save me a ton of money for reloading supplies!
What are you building next! :boink:

It will be about a year out but i want to build something in an "exotic" caliber. Need to get a reloading setup going first along with a few other things.

I can't get enough of long range shooting!

The possibilities are endless!!! 6cm, 6.5x55 swede, 6.5x47 etc! I wanted to stay 6mm since I already reload for it and have tons of bullets, primers but would love a 6.5x47 if I wanted to go a new bullet.

    Congrats on the new build!

And I’m pretty sure most big glass companies have a great warranty.

True, I know Nightforce and March stand by their products and their customer service is great.

I know that feeling... hell all I need is a trigger for my 10/22 build and a stock/engraving for my SBR scorpion that’s been approved for over a year now... toy budget keeps going to the Toyota.

I live right by Wright Armory, I'm thinking I might stop over there this weekend and at least ask.

Don't get me started, my buddy who owns a shop went round and round with a guy who brought an un-engraved firearm into his shop for repair. Any shop that is smart about covering their ass will tell you to leave the premises with that shit. It's absolutely illegal and only is so prevalent because some idiot misinterpreted an obscure ATF ruling and spread it all around like herpes.

If you've ever heard the "only if you want to sell it" you've fallen victim to this idiot.

    From the ATF website:
    https://www.atf.gov/firearms/docs/atf-national-firearms-act-handbook-chapter-6/download
    (emphasis added by me)

Notice that even though you MAKE an SBR that has been MANUFACTURED by CZ, Colt, etc. they specifically say your identification requirements are the same.

It also makes no bones about it on the instructions for the Form 1 you filled out:
TL;DR you love your dog, you wanna engrave.

Finally got some plink ammo for my 6.5g build. Just mounted my scope and heading out to the range tomorrow. Happy day.

    Why are you anti-engraving?

Range trip today was fun! Got to shoot my Maxim and think I am going to really like that gun/silencer combo! Need to get some subsonic ammo for it.

Finally have all the parts to load 9mm on the 650. Just too hot in the garage to do it.
