    Duh! ;)

I gotta do the paper work the old fashion way, send it in myself. Usually have Silencer Shop do it but the dealer I got it from is not a Powered By dealer. Waiting on finger print cards with our prints on them from Silencer Shop and need photo's.

Went with the Octane 45K for the freebie. Will need to get my own finger print cards and ink for this one. Need to figure out from where.

@Mike330R I went to Merchant Firearms to help me with the paperwork. They charge $10 for fingerprinting and go over everything with you so the paperwork is correct. You just need to add the photos.

Going with the Saker ASR 556K then the Octane 45 for the freebie. That should give me a nice collection for pistol and rifle.

Are you paying $800+ for that Saker K?

Going to have to go with the 556 regular one. It is above $800. I will find out this weekend.

    I'd consider the Omega 300.
    1/2" longer, lighter, quieter, 223 and 308.
Even less weight if you direct thread and buy aftermarket end caps which are lighter and cheaper than SiCo's.
And if Merchant is more than Silencer Shop I'd go with them. Plus it saves the tax.
Find a Powered By dealer and use the machine. It makes it easy and future purchases are just a few clicks away once set up. No more mailing forms, doing prints or pic's.

    In use on 308 & 223

Already have the Omega, I like it on the 300 win mag. I want a dedicated 556 can just because.
I am signed up through Silencer shop and was going to C2 Tactical since they are the closest dealer that I can use the Kiosk. Their prices are not always that good so going to see if the 556K is above $800, if not going with the regular 556.

You can shoot 80gr pills in a 223! I shoot them at 500/600 in my AR's with the wlyde chamber.

    Thanks for posting that info.
    I'll stick with the semi .223 :)

Although that .243 was kinda neat!

    Maybe you guys can help:
Added a new lightweight barrel, stock, and extended mag release to a 10/22.
With OEM barrel it was reliable.
Almost 50% of the rounds don't fire and it seems to get worse the more rounds I shoot. The rounds have good strike marks on the cases.
I'm pretty sure the barrel is seated all the way. The ejector on the bolt lines up perfectly with the notch in the barrel so I know the bolt is closing all the way. I can see the bolt touching the barrel.

Also had a couple burst fires which I can live with :) It's had a VQ trigger group in it for years.

    Suggestions?

.243 is a solid 1 mile caliber, I kinda want to rebarrel my tikka into .243 or 7mm, something that will go a little further than my 308.

What 7mm you looking at? They keep coming out with new 7mm bullets with great BC on them.
Only thing that holds me back from the 243 is it can be a barrel burner

The 7-08 is a decent round but if you really want to push that thing you need a 284 shehane or 7 Saum. If you don't reload then the 7-08 is better.
243 is nice since you can find factory ammo anywhere and should be able to find something that works in your gun.

I'm going to be moving into a house w/ my girlfriend and I'll have garage space to start reloading once we're settled in and I can save up to buy the equipment. Gonna be a long while before I buy any more firearms, want to get started reloading and shoot what I have more.
