With the temps being lower than expected I decided to pick up a heated blanket that runs off of a 12v socket. Hopefully it works out well for the dog and I... :rain:

I'll buy a couple bundles to bring. Should be some places off the highways when we are on them that we can pick some up as well. Like when we all gas up again at some point.

After looking at the weather report, I hope the roads going down aren't closed for snow.

Yes, I plan on coming down US HWY 180 into New Mexico and then come across from Lordsburg into Bisbee and then the rendezvous point Friday morning.

US HWY 60 was closed the other day. And they are calling for more snow this week.

Looks like snow chances for Albuquerque NM, Lordsburg NM, Bisbee Az and Sierra Vista Az are all on Friday. Rain on Thursday has decreased in percentage to between 15% and 40% across the Southwest. Most is either rain or light rain.

We’ll keep an eye on it.

Was thinking about getting some snow cable/chains. Never really got any before. Anyone have recommendations?

    I have BFGoodrich KO2 265/75/16

    Ummm....stuff and more stuff
I just went to auto zone and bought their chains. Not sure the brand but I have used them a few times and they work fine. You just tell them your size tire and the pull the right size.

I got them for my 265/70/16 and they were on the smallest settings. Now I am on 285/70/17 and they are on the largest setting.

Probably not a bad idea. I doubt you will need them for this trip. I'm driving up to Denver, taking the scenic route, on March 6th and might just go get a set for that.

Tomorrow night shouldn't be too bad, depending on how much rain you get.

Saw some pics on the AZ Trail FB group looks like there is already some standing snow at lower elevations of passages 2 and 3. Those run from Parker Canyon Lake to Patagonia and intersect at Canelo pass on FR799 Elevation range 5000-5900 feet

Well this is great, another Champion radiator is down. While going to pick up my kids from school today my engine started heating up. I'm glad I kept my old one, now to see if it holds up.

Too bad you aren't closer, I'd come help out. How many miles on that Champion?
