Im sore as well, had nothing but couch time after putting the gear away and a quick shower for both truck and I.

Pueblo is longer from the bottom but might be able to route it from the top down! That's camping at Aztec peak and hiking down.! Who's in to explore that shit?! Still down hill but I can imagine the trail being a little easier than scrambling up water drainage.

Same.. came home, unloaded, washed the truck and myself.. and that was it.

Ummm.. Idk the details on that Pueblo area.. but if its anything like what we did years ago that I was telling you guys about (hiking from camp at top of Aztec down and out to the canyons, as the crow fly's) was a trek! longer than the Chasm hike and until the Chasm hike.. was the roughest one we've done. Took all day and was a ton of work due to how thick it was.

With the little research so far it has a trail from the ranch behind Aztec peak. I can imagine that trial being thick and unused, might need a machete or pocket saw also a full pack of food and water!
Janet want to get out this weekend too so maybe a quick overnight up there with some recon!

Definitely would bring something to trim if needed. We all had hatchets and Axes. A lot of the time was going, or trying to go, from downed tree to downed tree as it was the easiest path. We didnt have a trail at all. I'll have to try and dig up some pictures.

Looking at that, and going back and looking at pictures and the map.. I'm actually thinking when we did that trail blazing hike years ago to the canyon edge from aztec.. I think we ended up almost right above the Ruins. We went straight east essentially from camp out to the edge and sat with our legs hanging off.. the ruins might have been right under us.

@KingOfTheNorth I’ll go with you, I may leave dogs at home for that run. Be curious to see how extreme that Trail is.

The hiking trail will be worse than the driving trail to get there.

I hope you guys come back and have a little agreement on trail sketchyness! I don't have a lot of experience to judge by, but that shit to me was Sketchy. I can't believe you even did it as night! lol

He is talking about the Aztec peak trail and the hiking trail you and Josh are talking about. I do want to go run that other trail tho.

Ahh yes, I read that differently. Trail was sweet and challenging, will be going back. Janet wants to see it and I'm sure my brother does now that he missed out as well.

Scratch the upper trail.. More research has shown we need climbing gear! Ha
One article says 7 -130' to 160' drops and a smaller 80' at the bottom down a waterfall!
Maybe MR E30 Wants a new adventure in climbing?

Still worth checking out another route without climbing from the top. Might be a Backpacking trip and camp on the edge!

    Stuff.. but not much
I like tacos but y'all meet way too far for me to want to drive for them. I'm over by LAFB and the east valley is a bit far for tacos on a school night.

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
Just coming back to post since I think my follow of this thread has timed out.

And also I'm finally free of classwork til September, and am wrapping up a vocational training training from ASU this week.

@Ross4x4 finally finished fixing my CV. You'd be upset how easy the stub shaft came out on my truck. After your war stories of wrestling yours out I thought it would take a few tries. Came out on the first pry and had the new one in right away:bananadance::boink:.

Spent the rest of the morning welding spindle gussets! Im ready for a evening wheeling trip through Bulldog, Maybe after dinner ride at dusk? Let me know what a better day is for you and baby/daddy crap!
