AZ What I do..

Anybody here an experienced wood framer or component designer?

 

Wanted to rob banks, but now I am a Project Manager for a Law Enforcement agency. I still cant believe they hired me with my background.

 

AZ born and raised, I keep planes in the sky and make sure missiles work the first time, every time.

 

Work over at the Mesa location of where I think you work? My company has talked to those guys...

Maybe some day we'll be ready to work with the DoD but I think it will be a few years.

 

Not exactly, The company I work for is a manufacturer of gaskets to a lot of fancy companies that are aerospace & DoD.

 

Stuck in dirty Tucson, for the second time around (first time was 5 years ago), Active Duty Air Force weather forecaster, yes let the jokes begin.

 

I'm lucky, there are very few spots for my career field at DM, I'll probably never come back.

 

Also a AZ native here. 35 years and counting. I'm in IT/Network Engineering/Software QA testing/ and the local audio guy.

 

FTFY.. well.. for me anyways.

Originally born in Edinburgh, Scotland and raised in England before moving to the states in '98. Lived all over the states but been in AZ now for almost 8 years. Lived all over the valley but currently in Waddell at the base of the White Tank Mountains.

Graduated from University of Wyoming with a master in Finance and currently work in finance for a global relocation company. Have changed my mind a bit on career, so currently working on a second master's degree in Criminal Justice from NAU.

Definitely a lot of different careers in this thread!

Less than 1% of 1N1s are at DM... hopefully there isn't ever a second tour... of course, I said the same thing about the Deid...

 

I spent 5 years as a project accountant for a dod contractor.

The Deid. In Qatar? I met my wife there. We used to get beers at Fox Sports and drink them at the picnic tables. The Air Force let us have 3 for the day. One cold...by the time you hit the third one it was like coffee hot.

Systems Administrator at a college. Been here in Arizona for just over six years. Was born and raised in California, back when it was actually a nice place to live. (Yes, there actually was a time when California was a nice place to live.) Joined Uncle Sam's Canoe Club right out of high school and ran nuclear reactors on submarines for six years. Then back to Cali for a couple of years, then I lived in South Africa for two years (long story), then back to Cali for a while, then I wound up here.

Yup. It would be either that or Embry-Riddle. If I had to work at Prescott College I would probably wind up in jail after I punched a hippie.

 

hahaha.. yeah figured it was that or Embry.. I went to Yavapai for a bit when I lived up there. did some extracurricular shiz at Embry -riddle growing up too. had some friends that got scholarships for there too, then continued on to Boeing.
