Soooooo I've decided that I'm now in the market for a camper shell. Of course, the tight ass in me refuses to pay used prices so the hunt for a good used one at a cheap price begins.

You think you will throw the tent on the roof of the shell or?

Yeah up on top. I am struggling with a few things with my current set up. I want the tent up higher for sure and I need the extra room to stack stuff to maximize bed space. I was originally leaning towards a bed rack system like the one allpro makes but at that price I could get a shell with some added security.

Finally getting around to fixing and relocating my trailer wire harness. Smashed it up good enough that the insert even came out. I'm going to relocate it up into the bumper next to the license plate but can't for the life of me find the right adapter online. I know for sure there is an adapter that will plug into what's left of the original harness so I don't have to mess around with regard wiring a new one. Anyone ever ordered it or know which one it is?

What does the plug look like that's going into the hazards?

EDIT: I may go mess around with mine this weekend when I'm bored to try and help you out. I won't be much help over the web.

Hard to explain but the whole unit is wired into one 16 or 18 pin plug. The hazard wire is red/white I believe.

I ended up just re-wiring a new harness on. Then had the neighbor cut out a relocation bracket that tucks up nice and high. It's fairly easy to wire up the new one though. Kay be your best bet if you tow a lot...

Yeah for sure. That's the route I'm going. I may put it in the bumper though. Thanks for the tip!
