    same here.

"driveline" vibes could also just be out of balance tires, alignment, etc. with your new lift, new tires, and getting an alignment, you probably fixed the vibes with one of them!

I've decided every time I ask a question or request some advice/expertise about a particular topic I'll start my post with a little eye candy for your enjoyment. My way of saying thank you! :D :bananadance:

So now that I have everyone's attention let's talk CB/HAM radios for the truck.

What do you run? What features do you like or wish you had? What features suck? Recommendations? Lay it on me peeps!!

    And you're welcome

I run the uniden 520xl with a 4' firestik antenna. Solid little unit. Didnt break the bank. With the cb im good to about 2-3 miles. Which on the trail is about all I need. I got the p.a. but really I didnt use it as much as I thought I would so I took the speaker off the truck.

I've heard good things about that unit. I've been trying to find a good unit that I can also link to handheld radios. Most are crazy expensive though!

I know exactly what you mean! I've hunted down there once. I killed a decent buck that just barely missed the 100 inch mark. Here's a pic of how I glassed him up. Little bastard had been there for 2 hours before I spotted him.

And after I gave him a dirt nap at 475 yards.

Good to know. The unit I really want is a Kenwood but the in car unit and handheld are 400 and 300 each respectively. They actually fit my hunting style very well and I would use the shit out of them but I just can't wrap my head around dropping that kind of coin on them.

Well If you are going to use it that much it might be worth it. I couldnt justify it cause of the amount I would use it and the distance I would use it at. So I went with the smaller unit

Hey Blake, why not a handheld radio or gps/radio? the latter being the more expensive but more awesome! lol I want one myself.

we use 2-ways when we go out once we leave the vehicles. just nice and easy..

We've used some higher end hand held that work awesome but the cheap ones just don't have the range. I haven't even looked into the gps radios though. I'll have to take a look at them. I need a new gps anyway.

same here.. I've been going back and forth on a few models. automotive/driving GPS.. or a handheld one. I want a handheld for the Hunt Maps and satellite imagery, but it wont be ideal for driving trails int he truck.. will it work?.. absolutely.

Ideally.. I'd like to get both. probably start with the handheld. this gps/radio one especially... with Hunt Maps and imagery. perfect. ESPECIALLY if you have another person int he group with one. the tracking is awesome.

Those look like they would work great. You also reminded me of why I'm having a hard time justifying buying a $300 kenwood hand held. I would have to convince my hunting buddies to buy them too and that ain't happening!
