I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Big things happening in the powder coating department here at BAMF. We have been toying with Thermoplastics here in the shop and are loving them!
Most people when they hear powder coating they think of Thermoset, a powder that melts at a specific temp and cures while soaking in a oven for a set amount of time. Thermoplastics have no cure cycle so once it flows out you can remove it from the heat and let it cool.
To give you and example of Thermoplastics all the NFL face masks are coated with it. It's also used often in playground equipment, wire racks like the one in your dish washer, even the lines painted on the roads in the US are Thermoplastics.

Thermoplastics are field repairable yeah that's right you will be able to touch up your scratched sliders and skids at home with simple tools and a little touch up powder.

Here is one of our test subjects it's a 1.75" x.120 wall stick of HREW we coated with a Thermoplastic in textured black (our new standard color soon) this powder has a mild texture with a rubbery feel

We are going to simulate rock crawling scratches in it and repair it using simple tools that you can easily get. No spray gun or oven needed!

    Tools needed
    Teflon sheets found here
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01M0WFCD9?psc=1
    Sand paper
    Small amount of Thermoplastic powder
A heat gun or blow torch.

    Stay tuned!

    Two questions @JLee ..

    1) Will this powder stick to sliders coated NOT using this new powder (my order shipped December '16)?
    2) If so, any plans to get it back in stock for order?

Small amount of surface fun around the BAMF plating, which is to be expected now that winter is here and the state is laying down a a dump truck of salt per square mile. Gonna brush it off and coat with some rustoleum in the meantime.. but figure that won't be a longterm solution.

It will stick but won't look right on a standard thermoset powder unless you coated the whole sliders.
