B.A.M.F Rear Diff skid plate

I've read every page of this thread, but I don't remember seeing an answer to this: did you ever figure out if there were any differences between the 8.0 and the 8.4 as far as dimensions and mounting is concerned?

 

Everything is just about the same demension wise the only real difference is the clamp on the pinion gaurd will be a little different on the non TRD's I also found that its not really a 8.4 the ring gear is 8.0 just like the TRD's the housing is just different "stronger"

And on another note every skid will be test fitted before its shipped out so there will be no fitment issues.

 

Yeah these skids are made by hand and bent with a hand operated press brake. I'm pretty good at being within 1* on my bends but it's no CNC so i have to check, check, and check again. Maybe I can afford a CNC press brake by the next GB. But for now everything is bent by hand and checked with a angle finder.


All the skids are tacked together and checked for fitment and then fully welded. After fully welded they are checked again. After that I'm satisfied with shipping the skid.

I thought you said you were not going to put the logo on these. This shit looks good!

 

That logo looks killer, it should have it on there, it's the best way to get his brand name out there. We look at stuff on other trucks and if we like it we want to know who made it. I'm not into sporting someone's logo but I'd sport Jerry's no prob because it's our friend.

 

Yeah I said I was not going to cut a logo into the skid because the letters would of been way too small. I said I would figure something out for the logos and I had some 12g sheet so I came up with these. All of my products will have one welded to them. Well the ones that will fit.
