    They sit in the jig wile I bend the next skid so they are cool when I pull them apart.

    Ever figure it out? Mine is the exact same way. It just wont line up.
    If one is threaded, the other one wont get close. I pounded it with a smaller sledge hammer, I guess ill hit it with a full size sledge? It looks like it will be crooked then. :confused:

    Nope. I hit it with my hammers and they aren't heavy enough so I need to borrow my buddies. I have to say it's irritating.

    Mine are too tight to just go in with fingers on the bolts, but if I gently thread both of them in about three quarters a turn, I can go to town with a socket wrench.

    This isn't precision machining, it's welded armor. Minor "final fit adjustment accomplished by sledge hammer" is a reasonable thing to expect to need to do.

    I can assure you the last batch ALL SKIDS bolted up right before shipping. All you need to do is start both at the same time and then use a socket wrench. They are made tight on the jig so there is no need for locktight. Some are tighter then others but all 6 shipped before new years threaded on.

    If yours are too tight for your comfort hit it with a BFH a few times to move it over trust me your not going to hurt it. I hit them myself with a little 12" 3lb hammer if they are off after welding and they move just fine. Just make sure it's still a little hart to thread them in or you will need locktight to keep them from rattling loose.

    Sure I can do that however in ship in a 24x24x7 and that's the cut off for that rate if I go any higher the shipping charges go up 15.00 bucks for the east coast guys and 10.00 for the west coast guys. I'm trying to give you guys the best shipping prices so bolting the clamps on is really not a good option.

    This is not rocket science all you need to do is start the threads at the same time and finish it off with the 3/4" socket. Im sorry but anyone wheeling there truck hard enough to need one of these skids should be able to install them. They are a custom part and some time you need to make adjustments to the part to fit.

    I know there has been a few that I shipped out that I didn't beat with a BFH to lign them up but that was before I knew the metal was warping. I now check every single skid before shipping and the 6 shipped before new years bolted up.
