This may be true but prior to my 2nd gen i owned a 1st gen for the past 7 years. Its seriously ridiculous how much i see 3rd gen owners cry and complain about cosmetic stuff. Reminds me of my ex that was super materialistic. As someone mentioned earlier roll your sleeves up clean it up and get over it. Its a truck, a tacoma for that matter.

 

Things have changed since the first gen beater . Now it's now it's 30 35 40k plus on these machines .

 

Just wait for when 2020s are out and about.
The complaints of a 40k truck and Apple carplay still does not satisfy. Or the power seat is too slow to adjust.

My butt still hurt of course. My under are film fluid so not much rust. My engine bay is good. I think it is must be the cleaner sprayed.

 

I lived in PA for 22yrs. We lost a car to rust, but back then build quality was worse than rust.
