Nah it came on the truck with the dealers XP package. I tried to get them to take them off and give me the sema wheels or 2020 pro wheels but they wouldn’t. Oh well haha

OK. Did you sell your Silverado privately or trade it in on the Taco?

I have the same truck but with premium package as well and not the XSP, cool they are finally adding those to trims besides the SR and SR5. Congrats and welcome back.

We have a great truck, shifting issues aside. A fishing buddy of mine with a nice F150 LOVES to ride in my Taco. He always says, "This is one fine truck. It looks BADASS!!" I know he wishes he had one instead of that Ford. I kept my 97 Silverado to do the things my Taco can't do well. It's worth what, a few thousand? Not depreciating, money in the bank. Got an 07 Ranger too. Both keep the miles off the Taco, the last and best truck I will ever need.

The shifting issue is why I bought a full size. But I took the 2020 on a long test drive and it’s night and day difference from my 2017 tacoma. It doesn’t really hunt for gears and it sits at a comfortable rpm while cruising at 70. I read that they put a new shift map on it that they haven’t released for the rest of the 3rd gens.

Toyota finally decided to address all of the minor owner complaints with the refreshed 2020 Tacoma. Everything from transmission software calibration, driver seat comfort, front and side cameras, etc.

This is true. All of the things that I wanted from my 2017 are in this one.

Nice Tacoma. Glad you found what you wanted. So how bad of a hit did you take on the Silverado?

Thanks! It really wasn’t bad. I got a great deal on the Silverado so it kind of eased the pain.

According to Toyota it’s the same as on the 2019’s, and if that’s the case I agree! The truck is always right where I need it to be. Congrats and welcome back.

What's exciting in the 2gen section... watching frames rust! Over here we have Taco Shin, Shifter Chaos, Creaky Pedals, Low Power and on and on! This is where the action is!
