@L8Shift yup I think I’m sold. I’m going to go with that setup. Did you have to use a computer for settling up the idatalink? Does it give you any other info besides tire pressure? i.e. engine performance etc

I believe I connected the device to my PC via USB to set it up, must have went quickly as I don't recall any details.

As a side note, you get all the benefits when you connect via USB as oppose to bluetooth to the device, eg. Nav. I don't use it myself as it is my wife's daily.
So I ordered one of these 3.0 cables to make the connection to the device, fits in the OEM cig slot with no mods.... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NCA9XEI/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They come with an audio-in jack as well.

    A thing or two...
I'm pretty sure a backup camera wasn't even an option in 2007, so I doubt there's going to be any wiring. There aren't any wires running into the tailgate of my 2008.

    Understood. It's why I commented
Seems like he's chosen a fancier route anyway.

Stock except for BFGOODRICH all terrain tires.
Do you recall the part numbers you used? Where is the harness in cab ceiling? I dont want to need to remove the cab liner to find it. Thanks

I do have PNs but they are at home and I won't be for a while.

Have you opened your tailgate to verify wiring is present? You can see harnee from underneath running into gate. But you'll want a picture of the plug because the camera used changed around our vintage sometime

The overhead storage in center of cab pops out to reveal wiring on that end.

It's also a good time to tie the front dome lights to the rear dome so the work together when the door is opened.

There is no front overhead storage. I have not yet looked further into tailgate other than seeing the harness go in, I'll do that tonight.

No storage like shown above my scan gauge?

Another win for the lovely 5 lug!

Nope nothing. Does that mean I'm not pre-wired?

I have no idea. If you have done lights in that area it may be behind them

I'll have to look around a bit in the cab and see if there's anything for a harness. Thanks

Reviving an old thread here…I just installed the master tailgaters camera/tailgate handle combo and the camera image is reversed. Not the end of the world but would love to flip it if possible. Anyone have the same problem?
