I purchased a new 2019 Tacoma 4 x 4 with a lift kit already on it. I don't recall if it was level at that time. I put a lightweight shell on it. It definitely sits lower in the back. I took it back to the dealership and was told that the added weight of the shell caused it to sit lower. They told me if I want to even it out I would have to add another leaf spring for $450.00. I can't believe the weight of the shell would cause it to sit lower.

My 2017 did as soon as I put my topper on it. Stock leafs are weak.

It can. Partially depends on how it's lifted now.

If it's spacers and blocks, there was no upgrade to the suspension, just a cosmetic lift.

Try some old man emu medium duty leafs in addition to the block style lift in the rear if you want to maintain a 4”ish lift . That is very easy to do yourself . Take note of the rear brake lines . If they are stretched to tight you may want to purchase some extended lines and bleed your brakes if there is not a repositioning bracket already or if your truck doesn’t already have extended brake lines . Jack your truck up from the rear differential and let your trucks rear axle droop ( by putting hd jack stands on the frame and see if your brake lines are taught . Putting it on a lift would show you this as well .
