Back for more! Do all Tacoma's from Mexico get shipped or do somes cross via rail?

What's up friends almost a week past the last day my truck was supposed to be delivered and sitting at the port in Mexico for almost 20 days now no movement and no reason. Just curious do some Tacoma's go by rail or do all go by ship to get here? Also being in the Midwest what's a realistic time frame for it to get from the port on the west side of Mexico to here? Seems like a week on a ship. A week by rail/transport truck. Two more weeks seems likely but obviously it's just a guessing game. I had an estimated delivery date of june 10th-16th now it's the 10th to ghe 16th OF JULY.

 

maybe they are fixing the damage they did to it ? but ill say july 16 is the delivery date

 

Your truck will show up when it shows up. Not to be rude, but questions like this will not make it arrive faster.

They need time to reassemble truck after removing those 50 kilos of cocaine.

 

Maybe the dealer got the truck in and sold it to someone else for a more profitable deal.

 

Nope been tracking the vin outside of the dealer. Hasn't moved in 20 days from Mexico.

 

The more boring posts you make about it, the faster it will arrive.

 

The tracking gets updated when the dealer receives the truck in, easy to fudge.... They can easily just make you wait a few more weeks and just call and tell you they get the same or similar truck in. It happens all the time.

Shit then you're probably right. But then how could they explain the truck I finally get my hands on having a different vin when I was told my vin I got at the deposit time was permanent

And if dragonpro23 is telling me the truck is still sitting in Mexico he has no dog in the fight and a reason to lie. How can the dealer fake corporate allocation information across the board like that?

 

This is exactly what I'm afraid dealer does to my truck too beause im still waiting for my to arrive... So definitely i feel you OP.

How long is your wait so far

 

It's being packed with contra band and they broke various plastic clips that hold panels in place.

Clips are special order. Then you have to wait for dealer to unload and reassemble the truck as part of their supposed PID process.

Ask them if the check your trans fluid level as part of that process. And tell them NOT to was your black truck, you'll gladly DIY

 

How many times have you driven by the dealer to see if the truck has arrived?

 

0 because I have no vehicle because I had to sell my other truck to fund this one hahaha what a fool I was for trusting the dealer delivery times.
