Hi everyone, I've been lurking around since I picked up this 97 Tacoma last week. Took it as a partial trade for my CJ7 and so far I'm really happy with it. The company I worked for over 10 years ago had Tacomas so I had a 97 and a 98 that I drove daily. Given my past experience I figured I'd like to have one again. I've already had 3 different sets of wheels on it this week. The factory set with crappy tires, the Atlas wheels and now the studded snow tires on chrome steelies. The modding bug will hit me soon I'm sure as I peruse all the pics and info on the site. :D

    A 97 standard cab 4x4, that's a gem. Is it a v6?

 Thanks for the welcome guys. Drewski, it's a 4 cyl. I'm happy with it so far getting about 24 mpg for the fillups so far. I do miss having a winch though, that may be my first mod.

I'm aware that the modding bug strikes with deadly impact to the wallet. Looks like I'll be fabing my own stuff since I'm a cheap bastard. LOL
