My story started out in a 4 cyl 5 speed, then graduated to a Pre Runner, then a Tundra. Got crazy and bought a Dodge Dakota and now back to a 2012 base model Tacoma with a 4 cyl, automatic this time. Wow, things sure have changed since my first Taco, a "1999" model Very nice.

I just traded my 2013 I4 for a 2015 V6. I4 just doesn't have the skat mode you need on the highways

I have no problem going 80 with 32s with my 2.7.

It wasn't the top end speed that was the problem, it was the right-now-get-up-to-speed problem

Yeah, a lot of people on here say the autos are sluggish with the 2.7.

    I went with a 5sp.
