Just a quick note to say hello. Up until a few years ago I had an '88 Dlx 4x4, 22RE and have missed it ever since I sold it so when things worked out so that I could get another Toyota truck again I decided to go with an early Tacoma. I found this one last weekend and it was a perfect fit. I haven't had time to take any pictures myself yet, but was able to grab these from the ad on the interweb:

It's a one owner '99 SR5 TRD, 2.7, 5sp. The moment I sat in it I knew it was taking her home. She's like new inside and out, you can tell someone really loved her and took good care of her. When I got home the day I bought it I had no sooner parked in the driveway when one of my neighbors who happened to be walking by ask if it was for sale...lol.
It sure feels good to be in a Toyota truck again. There's just something about them that makes me happier than anything else I've ever driven.
    Cheers All,
    Bill

I wasn't looking for a purple one initially, but once I saw it in person I really liked the color. Everyone that has seen it has been amazed at how gorgeous this color is. Pictures just don't do it justice.

Exactly what happened to me , the paint looks great in person , I'm actually thinking about getting mine repainted the same color in the near future, you don't many tacos with the same color either

The first day I drove it to work one of our mechanics thought it was a piece of candy and that it looked good enough to eat...lmao!!

Yeah, I work with some pretty goofy characters, but it makes having to work a lot more fun.
