Back of truck heater...

I have a topper on the back of my truck and thought it'd be nice if there were a heater that could plug in and run while driving. Possibly one that didnt draw to much power? Anybody have any ideas?

 

plug is good for 400watts
...basic hair dryer pulls more than that lol. If you're thinkng plugging into the bed receptacle good luck.

Maybe buy some sort of plug in 12v heater like this

What do you need heat back there for while driving? Dogs? Girlfriend?

Could do a trucker electric blanket too.

I bought a small one the other night for out in garage just to keep it above freezing when gets cold. I been meaning to try on outlet

 

Aux battery + 12V heating fan?

 

Modify the exhaust - split a run of 1" stainless (not copper) tubing off the exhaust before the muffler so it runs thru the bed like a baseboard and back out again into the muffler. Put a valve on it so you can turn it off. Put some radiant fins on it. Make sure it doesn't leak! Profit!

holy hell you sound like you want to light everything in the bed on fire...

 

Go old school. Run hoses back there and get an aux 12v heater unit. Disconnect the heater return hose, attach it to a hose running to the back, to the heater, then from the heater to another hose that attaches to where the OE return went.
