I have a 1996 toyota tacoma dlx 2.4, 5 speed manuel . I took out the carpet to clean it and broke the trim that is under the 1/2 seat in the extended part at the cubby hole located there. I can't seem to find out the correct name of that compartment or the name of the trim. I've searched and searched the web and called Toyota parts dept. My interior is a light gray as my carpet is also. Can someone please help me out with this information? So much appreciated.

I think the the black surround that sits under the cover is what she's looking for.

I have a extended cab with 2 fold down little seats in the back, under the seat on both drivers and passengers sides are these 2 compartments, on the passenger side the jack goes in there but nothing is in the carpenters on the driver's side. When I took the carpet out the trim that goes around that opening and is held by screws to the floor, I need that trim bc I accidentally broke it when I took the carpet out. Would anyone know what the name of that trim is bc I looked up interior trim, nope not it, I looked up carpet trim , nope not it. Any help will be appreciated.

I believe they're discontinued. I'll have to check part numbers tomorrow if I can find the diagram.
FYI they called it a, "rear floor mat plate," if I'm not mistaken. The other parts in the area can be found by searching, "seat floor service hole." At least I've seen that previously.

Did you break the passenger? Should be this piece:

Perfect. And @Tour991 is a good dude.
She might want to send him a message and grab both sides if he still has them. (I didn't look through his thread, but I know there was a ton of stuff.)

Thanks for the instrument. OP I do believe I have a set. I'll have to look in storage. May take me a few days to dig out the storage door do to the blizzard.
