Is it common for the back seat not to be even all the way across ? The section of the back seat you sit on behind the driver side seat is sticking out more than the other side ?

Flip up the seat bottoms and ensure that the storage compartment lid is fully seated and closed. Put the seat back down.

If it's still uneven, fold down the rear seat back and ensure that it is fully seating and latching, then try the seat bottom again.

    That’s weird.
If it can’t be popped further in with some force, I’d let the dealer fix it.

It is weird, I think I saw a guy on you tube the other day complaining about his looking like this? Bad thing is a friend who is a Ford fanatic pointed it out to me today while looking my new Tacoma over.

Flip up the seat bottoms (both of them) and see if there is any adjustment to the attachment frames. With the seat bottoms flipped up, look to see if there is any differences.

    I drive a Miata.
I noticed my 60% bench was a little forward when installing my seat covers (opposite of yours). There is a tiny amount of play in the mounting bolts. Loosen and retighten with both seats flipped up (the set of bolts that connect seat bottom to hinge). Then if that doesn't work, adjust the set of bolts that fasten the hinge to the floor. I got mine to sit flush.

Mine isn’t like that. Maybe just loosen the bolts to readjust the seat.

I would start with the smaller seat that's behind the drivers seat. Place a thick towel on the floor and then flip the seat up. Make sure the seat is having to push down on the towel. Loosen the two attachment bolts and allow any play to push the seat up while pushing down on the metal bracket. Tighten the bolts and see if you got positive results.

Well soon enough you'll be able to analyze your friends engine destruction. It is a Ford.

Thanks for all the replies, I did get it a little better, but there is not enough adjustment to make it match the other side. It’s still pretty noticeable.

Mine is definitely is not like that, like others said if it's feasible take it to the dealer and let them "deal" with it :D

It might be a combination of both seats having to be adjusted.

    Oh look, another mod....
I just checked the back seats in my Taco. It looks like one continuous seat, no gap and one side doesn't stick out further than the other. If you want I'll take pictures to confirm that.

I took my bottom portion seats out years ago and just leave the upper portion folded down.

but no, mine never had an uneven position
