Hey, new to the forums and a new Taco & FJ Cruiser owner. Many years ago I had an FJ40 which was my passion and my money pit. I ended up having to commute a lot longer to work and it just wasn't working driving the FJ40 back & forth. I ended up selling it and getting a little BMW & a pickup for my wife.

Fast forward 3 BMW's later, my latest BMW had become more of a money pit than my FJ40 ever was. It is what I get for buying a specialty model. I had the alternator go out and it was a $2200 event! Since I had the V8 I was only getting 18-20MPG. I went shopping with my wife to find her a new FJ  and while we were out found myself a 2008 Taco TRD Sport. :D

I figure this will get me the same crappy gas mileage as my 5 series BMW but won't cost me $5k+ / year in maintenance. Instead I can put that $5k into mods for the new Taco & FJ Cruiser! First will probably be a topper.
