The grid on my backup camera is off. Annoys me when I'm backing up to my trailer. Dealer says that all trucks are like that.

I don't see how this could be true.

    Thoughts?

Are you saying the lines have stopped showing up?

I don't have a grid because mine is a 2011, but my camera is off-centered.

I'm saying the grid in the camera is crooked. The line that's supposed to line up to the hitch is off by 4 inches or more.

You might have to try and adjust he tailgate handle assembly(if you can). Mine has some wiggle room.

The dealer should do something about it.

Are u using the lines to back up?

I wouldn't use them because they could be off, IMO when backing up the only thing I trust is my eyes.

I don't trust it either. I use the center line to back up to my trailer and when I'm by myself it helps. However that line isn't center so when backing up to the hitch, it causes me headaches.

Agreed. The service manager said he didn't have time today to look at it himself.

Side issue they scratched all 4 center caps of my pro comp wheels. When I went back he had lots of time then. Haha.

Come over and back mine up and see if it's different.

When I look in the mirror backing up to my trailer, the hitch is always to one side of the line. I believe that's just how it is. You'll get used to it pretty quickly. I can drop the hitch right on the ball first time, every time now. Same holds true for both horizontal lines. I can back up to a loading dock and leave just enough room to drop the tailgate without hitting.

My 2013 is the same way. I just put the line to side of the tongue of the trailer. I put a locking tailgate latch on it and nothing changed. I don't think anything can be done since the camera is not centered. It's just stupid that they centered the line when the camera is not centered.

We got in 3 trucks. All the same thing. Have you backed up to a trailer?

It's really only noticeable if you have your hitch on and backing towards a trailer...
