Even though I have a back up camera, I somehow still managed to back into a mailbox and put a pretty good dent in my tailgate. With that being said, I'm looking into just removing my tailgate and adding a net as a replacement.

I have read quite a few threads on here about relocation ideas but none seem to be permanent fixes. I would like for the fix to look almost factory if possible.

    Anyone have any ideas?

I just built a high clearance rear bumper with swing out tire carrier for my truck and I need to relocate mine as well. I got the idea from Mademan another member on here about making a little bracket and putting the camera where the hole is where you drop down your spare tire. Just a thought. That's probably what I'll be doing.

I thought about trying to mount it in the hole that the wiring harness runs though at the back of the bed just above the bumper. The camera size looks like a close fit.

I mounted mine to the left (driver's) side of the license plate in the bumper. Only issue is that the license plate lights blind it a bit at night.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    Thread revival!

Anyone ever done this? I just had this thought and I'm wondering if it's at all possible...
