My back up camera was flickering a few days ago and just stopped working today. It says no input on the screen. Is it broken? It’s been installed a few years now.

Normally when I saw this, either the ground or power wire had come loose or corroded

I didn’t do the install it was done by some shop by the previous owner. Are you talking about where it ties into the reverse lights?

Guess you'll have to turn around to look for a while until its fixed.

Check the wiring at the camera end.

Yeah depending on the camera, a lot of them have their ground wire back near the camera itself. The wire is insanely small, and most shops will crimp on a ring terminal that is far too big. They also won’t put on any heat shrink so the wire will simply rust and fall loose of the ring terminal that is screwed into some sheet metal and also probably rusty.

crawl under the back end with a flash light and look for the camera wire and see if there are any wires dangling around

I found a rusty wire screwed to the bottom of the bumper. Not sure if it’s the camera though.

It’s a white wire I think it goes to my trailer hitch lights. I’m not sure where the ground is for the camera there are a lot of wires back there. It could go to the light it self right?

Try powering off/power on. Disconnect the battery and leave it for a couple hours. Try all simple solutions first.
