Has any body put the factory mirror for one of these? My truck has the camera in the tail gate but not the mirror.

The first part of your post doesn't make sense...at least to me.

So, you're saying that you have the camera, but not the review mirror? Did you buy the truck new or used? Are you sure that you have the backup camera already installed in your truck?

I bought it used ( lease return). The tail gate has the camera in it and it had the caps for the camera harness if you remove the tail gate. The mirror is just a regular mirror no buttons.

sounds like it is just wired for the camera, do you actually see the camera in the tail gate latch? If you have the camera itself (not just the wiring) then you should have the mirror that goes with it

The lens is on right hand side of the latch for the tailgate. I'll have to look and see if the harness is connected underneath maybe they replaced the tailgate

wiring should be in the cab already. not 100% sure but it should be. i read that all the ‘09+(other than base models) are pre wired.

You could put a head unit in and wire it with RCA ends, cat 5 cable and some tape. Good chance to upgrade your system, watch DvD's and have a better screen to view the camera.

Should be, you just need the factory (or factory style) mirror and a pigtail to go from the mirror to the factory harness. The harness is already up in the headliner, the pigtail just connects the two.

There are threads here about it, haven't seen one in a while but I am sure it can be found. I'd really like to do this, but haven't found a mirror for less than $400.
