    How can I install a backup camera on a 2008 Tacoma , can I use a newer model set up or is after market the way to go ??

    Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
    OEM would include replacing your head unit (if you want it in the radio), IMO not money well spent. I'm sure you can get an aftermarket head unit with BU camera capability and end up with better quality for less money. There are small units the size of a GPS that could probably be done cheaply.

    There is an option for a replacement mirror that includes a BU camera, that may be the way to go. There is a company called Calibex that makes these, they look like stock Toyota mirrors.
