Hi everyone. Might be a dumb question but I just installed the black alpharex tail lights on my 2021 Tacoma. My backup lights look very weak now from the tint on the tail lights. Any recommendations for a new LED bulb. I went to a local auto shop and they said they do not have any that fit a 2021 Tacoma which I think is BS. Let me know. Thanks

Just like tint on a headlight that people do it will decrease light output. I would just get a flashlight and stick it out widow when backing up

I ended up with VLEDs bulbs for everything but my turn signals.

I didn’t want hyper flash and didn’t want to cut factory wires just yet.

They are super bright and work great.

    Oh look, another mod....
I added the Total Stage 1 from Meso to my stock tail lights.

Have you looked at how bright your tail lights and brake lights are? If your reverse lights are crap, your tail lights and brake lights are probably crap as well in those cheap tail lights. You're probably better off returning them and waiting for Meso's tail lights or try to get your hands on some Meso TTL1.

Tail lights and brake lights are very bright because they are LED. Had to use the oem bulb for back up light. I like Meso products but not a fan of the new tail light style. Like the look of the Alpharex ones I got. Why are they crappy? Which ones do you have in your SR5?

Led pod wired to your reverse light circuit or trailer plug if you have one.

Alpha Rex is just re-branded Chinese crap lights. Not the best quality.
I’m running the stock SR5 tail lights with Meso TTL1. Since the TTL1 uses VLEDs bulbs the setup is brighter than necessary and high quality. You can’t beat VLEDs quality, made in the USA with amazing customer service when something does go wrong.

I’ve been looking at the diode dynamics LEDs for $20 they seem pretty bright. I figure I’m going to run LED bulbs for around town backing up but for trail backing up and area lighting I’ll install a Baja Designs flat light in the bumper oh and for those pesky tailgaters..:spy:

Don’t do it. Blinds the backup camera. I have some std LED replacement from the local auto parts and they are brighter but not blinding.

I thought the plate lights blinded the camera not the reverse.

That seems excessive for reverse bulbs lol
